James E. Lochner II — Founder

A third-generation Tucsonan, Jim is the founder of Grasslands Reclamation & Seeding and a trusted expert in Sonoran Desert restoration, with more than 40 years of experience in the industry. Jim is a graduate of the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Range Management with emphis on Soil Science and Mine Land Reclimation. His education at the University of Arizona provided the foundation for his lifelong career in reclamation, revegetation, erosion control, and natural plant seed applications. Over four decades, Jim has built extensive hands-on knowledge of Southern Arizona’s unique landscapes, soils, vegetation, and restoration challenges. His combination of education, experience, and deep roots in the Southern Arizona community has made him a respected resource for clients throughout the region and helped establish Grasslands as a trusted name in reclamation, seeding, revegetation, and erosion control.
